Hmmm...my last post was about the slow and lovely pace of the "in-between days" from Christmas to New Year's Day. I seem to have extended that break for almost a whole month!
While not much blogging happened, my non-cyber life has been full and blessed. Our time at church is always busy--I'm teaching three classes and my husband teaches another and does adult Bible studies on Wednesdays. He also is preaching here, there, and yon and is also on the pastor search committee at our church. My son is helping with the sound boards and my daughter helps in the nursery weekly. If you think we are busy, you should see what everyone else is doing!
We have a new schedule for our homeschool and it is working beautifully. Happy family, school work getting done, time for chores and play--and a refreshed mama make for the good life. I've even had time to read again.
Blogging has always been a recreational activity for me that occasionally borders on ministry. I don't approach it in a business-like way, so when it is time to take a break from blogging, I do so without a second thought. None of those heart-rending "I have to let go of this for a while" posts will come from me. Nope, if this particular activity's time needs begin to take too much of my attention from other areas, I just stop typing.
But I always come back. A quick look at this blog's archives reveals gaps between posts that may stretch weeks or months. My goal with this blog is simply to write, to share, to meet like-minded folks, and have a fun outlet for conversation. This is just the new way to talk with "neighbors" over the fence, so to speak.
So, the weather is fairing up and I am at the back fence ready to talk. Come sit a spell if you've a mind to.
